Ilulissat is a city located in northern Greenland – Disko Bay, in beautiful Greenland. Dog sledding in Ilulissat is the perfect activity to experience the oldest traditional dog sled.
Aattartoq Snowmobile & Northern Glacier Dog Sledding tour (6-7 Hours)
The tour begins in Ilulissat, where you meet your guide and receive the necessary equipment before setting off as a passenger on the snowmobile.
After a brief safety introduction, you travel for approximately 1.5 hours through stunning, snow-covered landscapes toward Aattartoq, with views of the Ilulissat Icefjord along the way.
In Aattartoq, the experience continues with a 15 km dog sled ride of around 3 hours. Here, you will meet the sled dogs and gain insight into their importance, while exploring the UNESCO-listed icefjord from a unique perspective, surrounded by icebergs, glaciers, and frozen terrain.
The return journey to Ilulissat offers another opportunity to enjoy the Arctic scenery at a relaxed pace.
