After almost 2 hours sailing north of Ilulissat, we reach the Eqi Glacier. We sail to the approximately 5 kilometer wide glacier – but at a safe distance, because the glacier often calves. When the boat’s engine shuts off and you stand on the deck, the silence will only be interrupted by bangs from pieces of ice that break off and fall into the water.
